Nature and Inter Cultural Expeditions is committed to fair tourism and the right of communities to accesss and benefit form the natural resources which they have conserved for years. In NICE, we believe, that community have a pivotal and leading role to play in Tourism, Environment and Conservation.


We aspire to use local community owned camp sites, lodges and take guest to their owned and managed wildlife sanctuaries. In this way the community earn direct benefits and have direct contacts with clients to share their expriences and aspirations.

NICE is associated with a number community projects, such as the Maasai cultural heritage, Oloililai Girls education fund, Umoja women group and IMPACT and we will conti ue having a close relationship with communities as a way of expadning and broadening their benefits in different ways such as training youth to enable them acquire skills.


In the next 5 years NICE will contribute 10USD to the Oloililai Girls Fund for every guest who uses our services. Guests are encouraged to contribute more. The Maasai and Samburu give priority to the boy child and this has put the women and girls in a very disadvantaged position as compated to Men. The issue of Female Genital mutilation is also a cultural practice that continue to affects the health nomadic women.
