Day 1

 

  • Arrival in Kigali
  • City tour 

Day 2

 

  • Drive to Kibuye at the eastern shore of Lake Kivu, you will get your first impression of Rwanda , the "Land of a Thousand Hills"
  • Visit to a genocide memorial
  • Discovery tour on Lake Kivu with exploration of the lake's flora and fauna
  • Visit to the island "Napoleon's Hat"
  • Boat trip to Gisenyi at the northern shores of Lake Kivu, optional African party or romantic evening at the lake

Day 3

 

  • Drive to Ruhengeri in the north of Rwanda.
  • Visit to a tea plantation.
  • Visit to the clay fields of a group of brick makers.
  • Traditional dinner and cultural performance of a local dance group.

 Day 4

 

  • Gorilla trekking in Parc National des Volcans, one of the absolute highlights in the lives of many nature lovers.
  • Optional visit to a group of local beekeepers.

 Day 5

 

  • Visit to the beautiful region of the twin Lakes Burera and Ruhondo.
  • Introduction to traditional sustainable farming methods.
  • Visit to local fishermen.
  • Lake cruise in one of the traditional canoes.
  • Drive to Kigali.
  • Time for shopping.

 Day 6

 

  • Optional short excursions to nearby attractions such as genocide memorial sites or lively markets in Kigali ' s suburbs.
